Community Groups

COMMUNITY GROUP UPDATE:
Groups for 2010-2011 year will start on Tuesday, September 7th and the week following. We are currently building the leadership of our groups and will soon have a brochure available that will list all of the groups offered this year. This Fall, we will have groups meeting Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights throughout Athens, Winterville, and Oconee County.  Click here to view and/or print this year's Community Groups.  If you have any questions or would like to find out more about Community Groups, please contact Kristin Sigalas (ksigalas@redeemerathens.com, 706.227.3344).

WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?

What binds us together is not common education, common race, common income levels, common politics, common nationality, common accents, common jobs, or anything of that sort. Christians come together because they have all been loved by Jesus himself.  -D.A. Carson

Redeemer Community Groups are small groups of 12-16 people who meet weekly in homes within and around the city of Athens.  We gather to develop and foster community within the body of Redeemer, to know God through studying his word, the Bible, and to care for one another and equip us for God's work in the world.

We have found that these weekly gatherings have been one of the best ways to feel a part of our community.  Individuals and families may join these groups at any time during the school year and we encourage people to visit a few groups before settling into a group that works best for them and their family.
